The Morel Act is an important milepost in the history of the higher education development in USA . The subsequent emergence of land grant colleges actively expanded social services that contributed to the American economic take-off.This paper reviews the development of the bill and the implementation process .The research re-veals, after the implementation of the act , Land Grant College promoted the US state economy and social develop-ment through the creation of such majors as agriculture and industry , as well as through practical research that served the society directly .
