A summary of military-task-oriented motion tracking system and its main technology and development history is presented.To fulfill the desire for outdoor teaching and training,a digitahzed simulation and teaching ＆ training system is designed based on remote sensing （RS） technology,geospatial information system （GIS） technology,global positioning system （GPS） technology and mobile communication technology and it will be the foundation for future development.
