英语专业学生的英语阅读策略元认知意识研究 被引量:6

摘要 阅读策略元认知意识是读者利用文本理解的相关知识对阅读过程进行监控和依据情境调整阅读策略的能力,是区分成功与不成功阅读者的关键特征之一。本研究应用阅读策略元认知意识问卷(MARSI),考察了华东理工大学英语专业四个年级共274名学生阅读英语文章时的阅读策略元认知意识水平,测试了三个年级学生的英语阅读理解能力,采用统计软件(SPSS17.0)对数据进行分析,发现英语专业学生:1.英语阅读策略的元认知意识呈中等水平;2.英语阅读策略元认知意识不存在性别差异;3.新生、大三、大四学生之间的英语阅读策略元认知意识水平无显著性差异,大二学生的英语阅读策略元认知意识水平显著高于其它年级学生;4.英语阅读策略元认知意识与英语阅读理解成绩无显著性相关。 In this study,we assessed the metacognitive awareness of reading strategy use of Chinese English major students with the Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategies Inventory(MARSI) when reading English academic materials. 247 college students from English Department of East China University of Science and Technology responded to the survey and 224 of them finished an early-prepared reading comprehension test. Results of the study revealed,first,that English major students displayed a relatively high degree of reported usage of reading strategies. Secondly,there was no significant gender difference self- reported in the frequency of strategy usage. Thirdly,Sophomore students reported significant higher frequency of strategy usage than freshman,junior and senior students. Lastly,no significant correlation has been found between the metacognitive awareness of reading strategies and the comprehension score.
