“足”部与“走”部同声符字考——兼论义近形符通用

On Characters with the same Phonetic Component in Zu Bu(足部) and Zou Bu(走部)and the General Uses between Characters with Synonymous Significant Components

义近形符通用现象往往被认为不是时间关系,而是一种文字未定型时的静态的地域差异的表现。通过对《说文》《玉篇》的静态和动态的考察,可知足部、走部中声符相同的字也有通用的情况,但并非全是通用,亦有对立。某些义近形符通用是文字历时演变的一种表现。义近形符通用具有时代性。

The phenomenon of the general uses of characters with synonymous significant components is often considered as a reflection of static and geographical differences when characters were not stereotyped, rather than diachronic result. On the basis of static and dynamic study of Shuowen （ 说文） and Ynpian （ 玉篇）, a conclusion can be drawn that many characters with the same phonetic component in Zu Bu（足部） and Zou Bu（走部） have the same meaning, but it does not apply all the time. The oppositions also exist, and some general uses are the results of characters＇ diachronic change. General uses are characterized by time.
