自1978年来,我国高等教育价值取向大致经历了如下几个阶段,即:政治价值转向育人价值阶段;坚持育人为主,偏重适应市场的需求阶段;注重规模扩张,提高人才素质阶段;注重质量提高,偏重社会需求价值阶段;注重教育和育人质量,实现人才强国目标阶段;健全与完善高等教育育人、科研、社会服务的均衡发展阶段。高等教育教育价值取向在改革开放背景下已经迈入健康发展的轨道上,是适应社会、人才需求的体现,也是映射高等教育最本质的精神与理念。

Since 1978, our country＇ s higher education value orientation has undergone the following changes. The politi- cal value has given way to education value. Adherence to the education has been given priority to while adaptation to the market demand has been made. The education scale has been expanded to improve personnel quality. The quality im- provement has been on target so as to lay particular stress on social demand; Education and education quality have been emphasized in order to realize the goal of reinvigorating China through human resource development. The balanced de- velopment of education, scientific research and social service have been improved and perfected. Now the education value orientation of higher education under the background of the reform and open policy has slowly entered the higher education development orbit, which embodies its adaptation to the society and the talents requirement and also reflects the essential spirit and the idea of higher education.
