籽用瓜新品种‘新籽用瓜8号’的选育

摘要：新籽用瓜8号（LS124）是根据籽用瓜生产和市场需求，从新籽用瓜5号（F1）自然授粉的后代定向选育而成的新品种。植株长势较强，易坐果且整齐。主蔓第1朵雌花着生于6节左右，以后每隔3-5节再现1朵雌花。属早熟品种，全生育期90d左右，果实发育期55d左右。果实圆球形，果皮白色覆细核桃纹，白瓤，瓜籽黑边白心。单瓜瓜籽质量52．3g左右，667m^2产籽量178kg，其籽粒饱满，板平，中片，商品性好。适宜在新疆地区南北疆种植。2012年7月通过新疆维吾尔自治区非主要农作物品种审定。

＇ Xinziyonggua No. 8＇ is a new edible seed watermelon variety developed by pedigree selection of the progeny of open pollinated ＇Xinzigua No. 5 ＇. It is a main season variety with strong plant vigor and good fruit set. The first female flower of main stem starts from 6th node, and followed by a female flower every 3-5 nodes. The whole growing period is about 90 days ,fruit development period is about 55 days. The fruit is round in shape and the skin is grey white with pencil lines. The flesh is white. The bid seed has dark margin and whitish center. Each fruit produces 52.3 g seed and the seed yield on 667 m： is about 178 kg .The variety is suitable for planting in the south and north Xinjiang. It has been registered as non-main crop variety in July 2012 in Xinjiang and named as ＇Xinziyonggua No. 8＇.
