关于进一步推进历史时期毛乌素沙地生态环境变迁研究的几点思考——为纪念统万城兴建1600年而作

Some Reflections on Further Research about the Environmental Change on Mu Us Desert during Historical Period: for the Commemoration of the 1600-years Anniversary of the Building of Tong-wan City

通过回顾总结我国历史地理学界几代学人以及相关多个学科的学者在近半个世纪中,由统万城兴废探讨研究毛乌素沙地形成变迁所取得的进展与成果,评析了迄今在这一研究领域存在的一些主要分歧与问题,并对当前深入推进毛乌素沙地历史时期生态环境变迁研究提出了几点建议,以期助推这一研究领域能取得突破性进展,并对历史地理学学科理论建设以及毛乌素沙地治理实践作出具体贡献。

This paper reviews major progress and achievements on the research of Mu Us desert environmental changes through studying the rise and fall of Tong-wan city, which have been endeavored by generations of historical geographers and other scholars in the past 50 years. The author analyses the major different opinions critically and points out some key problems still existing in this research field. Furthermore, the author puts forward some proposals on how to make a breakthrough on the research of Mu Us desert＇s ecological changes, how to contribute to the theory of historical geography and how to prevent the desert expansion practically.
