Types and developing present situation of phosphorus-nitrogen type extreme pressure agents were summarized, and synthesis of the phosphorus nitrogen additives and its application in lubrication oil were reviewed. The preparation method, application range and good performance of phosphorus-nitrogen additives were introduced. The function mechanism of phosphorus and nitrogen additives was summarized, and some views on its development trend were put forward.
