Reflections on the Development of Chinese Architecture

经济全球化发展的今天,中国本土建筑不断地受到西方建筑设计思想的影响。在多元文化相互融合的同时,我国本土建筑的发展应在实践中加强对中国传统建筑文化精髓的理解及应用,体现本民族文化特点,使建筑设计在呼应时代性的同时又不切断与传统文化的联系,设计出能表现民族、历史和文化的建筑。

With the development of global economy, Chinese architecture is steadily influenced by Western architectural design thought. With the cul- tural integration, the development of Chinese architecture calls for understanding and application of Chinese traditional architectural culture in practice, reflecting Chinese culture and making the architectural design connect with times without cutting off contact with traditional culture. Thus, the building reflecting the ethnic, historical and cultural background of China can be established.
