清末民初报人跨中西文化特质的生成及其对报业之影响

On the Emergence of Newspaperman with Cross-cultural Characteristic of and Its Influence on Newspaper Industry During Late Qing Dynasty & Early Years of NPC

清末民初,服务于外报馆的中国早期报人即"秉笔华士"徘徊于中西文化之间,这个原本被称为"边缘人"的群体在维新变法和辛亥革命办报高潮中担当主体。中国近代报业的发展轨迹决定了清末民初报人的跨中西文化特质,他们凭借自身其跨中西文化的优势尝试创办中国本土新型报刊,引进西方新闻专业主义,建立中国最早的一批新闻学系,促进了中国本土报刊的兴起,进而提升了报人社会地位和职业地位,自身从"边缘人"蜕变为"公共知识分子"。

During the late Qing Dynasty ＆ the early years of National Republic of China, the newspapermen served at the foreigners＇ newspaper office pace up and down the cultures of China and the west. It is these despised newspapermen who act as major players in the Reform press and the Revolutionary press activities. The newspaper- man＇ s characteristic of cross cultures of China and the west was determined by the newspaper industry＇ s develop- ment of modern China;these newspapermen take advantage of characteristic of cross cultures of China and the west to establish the native news press in China,import the journalistic professionalism of the west, set up the first jour- nalism departments, as a result, the newspaperman＇s social and professional position was improved and they them- selves chang from the despised groups into journalists and public intellectuals.
