Undergraduate teaching is the core work of higher education units, so the rational use of grass-roots supervision work of undergraduate teaching giving full play to the functions of this system are important measures of promoting the reform and development of undergraduate teaching. To recognize and understand the functions of grass-roots supervision work of un- dergraduate teaching is a requirement of the sustainable devel- opment of the present undergraduate teaching, and it is worthy of exploration.
