论大学的学术责任——现代大学学术研究的四重属性

对于大学而言,从事学术既是首要责任,也是立足之本。在后工业时代的知识社会背景下,大学需要承担起多方面的义务,这也意味着现代大学的学术责任具有多重内涵。从事学术是对大学学术责任的狭义定位,大学的学术研究还隐含着一定的政治需要和社会目标,这是大学学术责任的广义延伸。大学的学术反映出在职业、道德、政治和社会这四方面的功能属性,体现现代大学功能历史与逻辑的一致性。

With regard to university, it is not only the first priority but also the fundamental mission to be occupied in scholarism. In the social background of post-industrial times, the university should undertake various obligations, which means that the academie responsibilities in modern university have multiple dimensions. To be occupied in scholarism is the orientation of university academic responsibility in narrow sense, some certain political requirement and social objective have also been implied in the academic research in university, which is the generalized extension for academic responsibility of university. The four characteristics of vocation, morality, politics and society in the scholarism of university have reflected the consistency of history and logic of university function.
