Summarizing Mr.Lu Xueyi's Main Ideas of Society-Building in His Last Ten Years

陆学艺先生在其生命的最后十年中不遗余力地从社会学角度思考中国社会的伟大变局。他尤其是从大社会系统变迁角度,认为中国现代化建设目前正处于第三次新的历史转折时期,社会发展与经济发展不协调是当前中国的主要社会矛盾,加强社会建设是今后二三十年国家现代化的必然举措;认为社会建设的核心是要调整和优化社会结构,促成中产化的现代社会,其突破口和中心环节是要改革现行社会体制;陆先生同时认为,社会建设本身即是建设社会现代化,有九大方面的内容和任务,可以分为三大阶段有步骤、有计划地加以推进;并为加快社会建设这一伟大系统工程提出诸多政策建议和可行措施。

Mr. Lu Xueyi had been sparing on efforts to think China＇ s great change from the perspective of sociology in his recent ten years. Especially from the perspective of social system ellange, he thought, Chi- na＇ s modernization is in the period of the third historical transformation, the ineoordination between social development and economic development being its principal contradiction, therefore strengthening soci- ety-building is necessary measures for national modernization in the coming two or three decades. He empha- sized, the core of society-building is to adjust and optimize social structures, forcing the modern gentrifiea- tion society, of which the breach and key point is to reform existing social system. Meanwhile, Mr. Lu held that society-building itself is to build society＇ s modernization, including nine tasks and coments, divided in- to three steps. He also put forward lots of policy proposals and feasible measures for this great project.
