陆学艺先生作为著名社会学家、"三农"问题权威专家,让广大农民富裕起来是他终生的追求。在其学术生涯中,他立足对中国"三农"问题现实的调查,同时密切结合宏观社会结构变迁的社会学视角,有强烈的"立地顶天"意识和精神;他根据中国农村经济社会发展阶段性特征与问题提出相应的"三农"政策主张,又根据时代和社会的变迁不断反思和丰富自己的思想与主张;他主张和践行社会学要积极介入中国社会转型过程中的重大现实与理论问题研究,极大地提升了社会学学科的地位。这种社会学理论自觉意识,对于中国城乡社会发展和社会学学科的发展,都有着十分重要的指导和启示意义。

As a famous sociologist, authoritative expert on issues of agriculture, countryside and farm- ers, Lu Xueyi pursued the prosperous of Chinese farmers through all his life. During his academic career, he grounded his studies on the field surveys of issues of agriculture, countryside and farmers, and connected it with the sociological perspective of macro social structure change; he proposed correspondent policy propos- als of issues concerning agriculture-rural-farmer according to the periodical characteristics of Chinese rural economic and social development, and he also continually rethink and enrich his ideas and proposals accord- ing to the changes of the era and society; he advocated and practiced that sociology should actively involve in- to the important actual and theoretical problems of the process of social transformation of China, which is an important way to improve the status of sociology. Lu Xueyi＇ s theoretical self-awareness of sociology has a very important inspiration and significance on the development of China＇ s urban and rural society as well as the development of sociology.
