Analysis on Dispute between Cold Diseases and Febrile Diseases Based on Classics and Clinical Cases

温病和瘟疫实际都是阳明经的病证,而在不同医家的视角看来起因于不同因素,但是归结到治疗时,大体方向还是一致的。由于人用药喜好有寒温之不同,所以在论述疾病时就产生了越来越大的分歧,天下百虑而一致,殊途而同归,对于争论只是不同的世界观下因为对于事物的认识方法不同而体现的差别,而事物本身没有人们想象的那么大差异。所谓的争论也是皮相之争,庄子曰:"夫吹万不同,而使其自己也。咸其自取,怒者其谁耶?"事物的本质是一样的,争论只是人们之间各自的不同引起的。

Febrile diseases and pestilence are diseases belonging to Yangming channel. They are caused by different factors in view of different doctors but when it comes to treatment their directions are almost the same. Their disagreements are vigorous when analyzing disease owning to the difference on intending of prescribing heat or cold medicine. Hundreds of ideas are accordance and fork paths may come into one. Disputes are caused by different methods under different world outlooks. Object and itself are not as various as people imagined. The dispute is just superficial fighting. Zhuangzi said：＂ Although it is the same as dust gone with the wind, it is itself who control the direction. Is there anything else stimulating＂ The essence of things is equal. The disputes are caused by different kinds of people.
