This paper introduced the conception and function of intermediate checks for test institution onthebasis of the assessment criteria for laboratory accreditation,decided the advantages and disadvantages of various intermediate checks procedures,pointed out that adopting reference material is a better procedures.The methods of result evaluation and states estimation,as well as several questions needing attention about intermediate checks for instrument and equipment were presented in the end.It can be used as reference for other test institution doing intermediate checks
