Energy supply has become one of the main factors affecting economic development.Liquefied natural gas （LNG） is a new type of green energy.The application and promotion of LNG fuel will be beneficial to optimize energy structure and ensure the healthy and stable development of economy.With the rapid development of the cities in the middle and lower Yangtze River valley,the local residents raise higher demands for better living standards and environment quality.A fully exploitation of transportation capacity of Yangtze River for the new environmental friendly energy resource is becoming important.A sea-river-through type 10 000 m3 LNG carrier is taken as the example for operation analysis.According to the analysis of shipping market and transport demand,the problem of fleet structure in river-sea through transport pattern is discussed.
