Following the acuity competition of market, diversification and individuation of requirement of customer, the manufacturing is confronted with greatness challenge. Large breed, short run production and job production is becoming the dominant mode of production. Generalized Random Manufacturing System-GRMS is a manufacturing model which face the order. GRMS adopt self - rule manufacturing planning and scheduling. The concept of GRMS based self - rule manufacturing scheduling is introduced, the scheduling criterion and the developing direction of this system are discussed.
