One day while writing his grandfather's name in remembrance Wang Taibai made an interesting discovery:his grandfather,Wang Shouyi Shi San Xiang Spice Group founder Wang Shouyi,was apparently enamored with the number 13.Not only did the number of strokes in his grandfather's name add up to 13,so too did the names that Wang Shouyi chose for his four grandchildren,to include Wang Taibai.An interesting choice considering that the Wang family's famous '13 spice' condiment brand was also named after the 13 different spices it contained.Wang Taibai has the high nose,thick eyebrows and long lashes that typify the Hui ethnic group to which his family belongs.Like many young men from rich families,prior to his return to China Wang Taibai spent most of his time partying late into the night and spending money like there was no tomorrow,and it wasn't long before he became known as 'The Bank' among his friends. 'I knew it was my parents' money and not my own,but I couldn't resist the temptation,' Wang admits.
