摘要
本文通过对文化的边缘、边际和边际值等三个概念的界定,力图解释文化中的三种现象:在同一文化的不同地区,可以看到中心文化与边缘文化的区别,同时边缘文化是存在的文化层面;两种或两种以上文化相遇时(或共存的地区),能够体会和观察到文化间的界线,这便是文化的边际。边际的存在是有条件的;无论哪一种文化都是要发展的,文化发展的表现就是其原有文化内容的保留和增减变化,文章将这种变化情况界定为文化边际值。被保留下来的为最大值;消失的称之为最小值;增加的不论是吸纳异族文化还是现代文化,统称为新增值。从而架构出一个新的、能从技术上分析文化现象的方法体系。本文认为,三种文化现象的各自作用及其影响,是今后世界上最为普遍存在的社会问题。由此入手,可以建立一个小型的民族学。
By defining the three concepts of a culture's margin, edge, and edge-value, this paper tries hard to explain three cultural phenomena : the differences between the central culture and the marginal culture can be found in different areas within the same culture, meanwhile, the marginal culture is an existing cultu~,-'al zone;the bounds among cultures can be realized and obsen,ed when two or more cultures meet with each other (or coexist in an area), and that is the cultural edge. The edge's existanee is conditional; any culture would develop, and the cultural development is embodied in the original culture's being retained, additions, re- ducing and change, this article defines such changes as a culture's edge-value. The retained is the maximal value, the disappeared is minimal value, and the additions absorbed beth from other ethnic groups' cultures and modem cultures are all called as new-adding value. Thus we can construct a method system that can be used in analysing cultural phenomena technically. The author holds that the functions and interactions of the three cultural phenomena will be the social problems existing most universally in the world in the days to come, starting with which, a small-scale theoretical framework for ethnological and anthropological studies can be structured.
