Mechanical wave plays an important role in College Physics. If the contents of mechanical wave can be understood well, it is very easy to grasp electromagnetic wave and quantum physics. The effective method of teaching mechanical wave is very important. In this paper, the character of wave, the wave curve and wave equation are discussed respectively. It has been verified that students grasp the mechanical wave very well after author using this teaching method.
