摘要
针对H.264/AVC编码器中运动搜索计算量大、搜索时间长,提出一种基于运动矢量的改进小菱形搜索算法。在运动估计的过程中,根据预测运动矢量的方向,采用不同搜索方向的菱形模型,可大大减少搜索点数,用较短的时间找到最佳匹配块,提高搜索速度。与典型运动搜索方法的菱形搜索算法相比较,该搜索方法在保证视频质量基本不变的条件下,编码速率平均提高5.73%。
H. 264/AVC video coding standard introduces motion estimation with multiple block sizes to achieve a considerably higher coding efficiency. The improved small diamond search algorithm based on the motion vector is proposed. According to the direction of the prediction motion vector in the motion estima- tion process, the use of different search direction diamond model can be used a shorter period of time to find the best matching block, while greatly reducing the number of search points, to improve the search speed. Compared with several other typical diamond search method, the method improve the coding rate about 5.36 % with similar image quality.
