The paper points out the problems existed in standards formulation and application for Traditional Chinese Medicine terms, discusses its methodological issues, and then puts forward specific ideas and methods for standards formulation, including solving classification problems, the specific classification shaft, establishing three core tables for a particular version and so on, developing a virtuous cycle mechanism of formulation, application, feedback and improvement in standards formulation for Traditional Chinese Medicine terms.
