Mice were exposed to acesulfame-K (AK)via maternal milk from the mother mice during lactation, and two- bottle preference tests for AK solution were performed in 2 and 12 months old. Results indicated that early strong intensity of sweet tastant experience increased the preference threshold and induced a reduction of preference scores about preference thershold at aged stage. Meanwhile, early AK experience inhibited the decrease of preference scores as that in the control animals during the advanced aging. Therefore early taste experience influence the sweet preference at adult and aged stage and modify the sweet preference during the aging process.
