A Brief Discussion about Village Records Compilation

村志是记述一个村庄的自然和社会、历史和现状的资料性著述,对留存农村历史、了解农村变迁、关注民生状况有着不可替代的作用,也是新时期方志事业的延伸和发展。本文从村志编修的重要意义、体例篇目拟定、资料收集、质量提升等角度粗浅谈几点体会,以供交流。

Village records are writings of reference nature in which records relate to the nature and society,history and current status of a village are recorded. They play an irreplaceable role in preserving countryside history,learning about countryside transformation,and focusing on the status of people's livelihood. Village records are extension and development of the local records cause in the new period. This article shares some of our shallow experiences in the hope of exchanging views from different angles such as the significance of village records compilation,the setup of styles and chapters and sections,the collection of reference materials,and the improvement of quality.
