荆轲刺秦失败的原因主要有副手未到而仓促出发、对手秦始皇的强大、殿上群臣的共搏,以及剑术不精、情绪化等。而有的学者将荆轲失败归咎于太子丹的不能用人和猜忌、挟有私心,并认为生劫秦王方案和寄希望于暗杀的战略是错误的,这些观点值得商榷。
