曾国藩被誉为晚清理学大师,其理学思想的渊源首推家学。曾国藩父祖辈均为理学的坚定捍卫者和笃实践行者,善以身教、言教并举教育子弟,故曾氏家训中的理学色彩非常鲜明与浓厚,尤其是祖父之教(迁善改过、居敬持重)和父亲之训(晨起养气、节啬保身),开启了曾国藩理学启蒙之路,后又被勤治理学的曾国藩加以推阐,形成规模,一生遵循。
