The Effect of Shanxi and Shaanxi Merchants on the Modern Market of Guangxi——From the Perspective of The Inscriptional Record of Repairing Qin Jin Academy

乾嘉年间,山陕商人在广西南宁建立会馆,并以此为依托进行商业活动。几经起伏,至民国时期,该会馆在广西银行总经理范椿年等人的主持下重修。《重修秦晋书院碑记》不仅展现了山陕商人在广西的发展历程,也是体现其在近代广西市场中作用的一个实物见证。

In Qian-Jia period, Shanxi and Shaanxi Merchants built Guild Halls in Nanning, Guangxi, on which were based to do some commercial activities. Many years later, in the period of the Republic of China, Qin Jin Academy was repaired, presided over by Fan Chunnian, the general manager of Guangxi bank. The Inscriptional Record of Repairing Qin Jin Academy presents not only the development of Shanxi and Shaanxi Merchants in Guangxi, but also an objective witness to prove their important effect on the modern market of Guangxi.
