Effect of PDCA cycle in improving management quality of nosocomial infections

目的运用PDCA循环理论和方法实施医院感染监管工作,提高医院感染管理水平。方法将计划(P)、实施(D)、检查(C)、处理(A)4个阶段与医院感染质量控制有机结合,把握每个阶段的医院感染监管重点。结果加强医院感染计划控制和过程管理,增强计划的操作性、实施的有效性、检查的督导性、处理的改进性,使医院感染管理质量控制得到了持续改进的明显效果。结论 PDCA循环法适用于医院感染质量管理全过程,是提高医院感染管理质量的有效方法。

OBJECTIVE To monitor the implementation of nosocomial infections using the PDCA cycle theory and method and to improve the management level of nosocomial infections. METHODS Quality control of nosocomial infections was organically combined with four stages of plan （P）, do （D）, check （C） and action （A）. Regulatory focus of each stage was grasped effectively. RESULTS The PDCA cycle method strengthened the process management for nosocomial infection control, and enhanced the operability of plan, the effectiveness of implementation, the supervision of inspection, and the improvement of treatment. The method was obviously effective for continuous improvement in quality control of nosocomial infection. CONCLUSION PDCA cycle method is applicable to the whole process of quality management and is an effective way to improve the management quality of nosoeomial infections.
