Language Conversion in International Commercial Transaction

国际商业交易中涉及到的国际商务英语合同,规定了双方权利和义务,具有法律文书效果。但是不同语言之间必然涉及到语言的翻译和转换,所以国际商业交易中翻译的准确与否具有极其重要的意义和后果。文章指出应用以韩礼德为首的系统功能语法中的语域理论指导国际商业合同的翻译,可增加国际商业交易中语言转换的准确性。

International commercial transaction involved international business contracts in English, which have the effect of legal documents and stipulate the rights and obligations of both parties. But translation and transaction between different languages is necessary. Therefore, the accuracy of translation in international commercial transaction has extremely vital importance. This paper applied register theory of systemic functional grammar which was leaded by Halliday to guide the translation of international business contract, strengthen the accuracy of language transaction and avoid disputations in later processes.
