Promoting college English teacher professional development is the key to improve the quality of college English teaching. However, as a special teacher group, many obstacles exist in the college English teacher＇s professional development. As a new model, CFG compensates for the shortages of the traditional model of training and coaching. Based on the introduction to the concept and key elements, the conditions, obstacles and strategies of its implementation in the college English teachers＇ professional development are analyzed, which will provides theoretical and practical values for college English teacher＇s professional development.
