本文从不可靠叙述理论及新历史主义的视角出发,分析了英国当代作家朱利安·巴恩斯小说《终结的感觉》中主人公托尼对往事的追忆之旅。在小说中,巴恩斯通过托尼对个人记忆、形象以及历史的自我解构,揭示了其背后隐藏的虚妄与觉醒之间的博弈,并探索了个体乃至社会在后现代主义语境下的自我发现之路。

This paper interprets the protagonist Tony's journey of memory in British contemporary writer Julian Barnes' novel The Sense of an Ending both from unreliable narration and neo- historical perspective.In the novel,Barnes reveals those hidden conflicts between illusion and awakening through the self- deconstruction of Tony's memory,image and individual history and then explores the roads for self- discovery of both individuals and society in the post- modernism context.
