At 00：06 Beijing Time on May 2, 2013, ChinaSat-11, the 10th DFH-4 based communications satellite, was successfully launched, and later operations maintained it exactly in its predetermined orbit location. More importantly, it was also the 8th successful satellite of the DFH-4 fleet in succession in practical application. These achievements demonstrate that the DFH-4 based satellites have been becoming more and more mature especially during the past 5 years. This includes mastering the technologies of a large-capacity GEO bus with requirements of both long life and high reliability, as well as that of complex payloads.
