International crude oil prices have kept fluctuating to high levels in recent years, making most of China's refiners lose money. But the Huizhou refinery has stayedprofitable thanks to a low-cost strategy, and it achieved a profit of 1.043 billion RMB in 2012. Lower cost in the crude oil processing and logistics chain is the Huizhou refinery's key competitive advantage. The facility makes the most of geographical advantage by optimizing the processing route and product mix, selects suitable advanced equipment from both home and abroad, and meanwhile implements good overall management to ensure that the product mix and processing cost are in the lead position among refiners.
