Category A in Chinese Library Classification classifies books according to the standard of "setting class according to person" rather than academic standards. In the context of the special era, this way to classify books has both historical necessity and rationality. Nevertheless, with the development of the times and society, the standard of "setting class according to person" is no longer suitable for its emerging disadvantages and needs to be reformed. The authors put forward a concrete implement scheme as follows: classify the books related to comprehensive books into Category Z and classify the books involving some concrete course into their own categories.
