Probe into the Practice of Expanding Children's Reading Breadth and Depth

阅读在少儿成长中作用突出。"中小学要由应试教育转向全面提高国民素质的发展轨道"是《中国教育改革和发展纲要》中对提升少儿素质的总体要求。少儿的素质被认为是国民素质提升的基础与前提,这其中书籍及其载体图书馆起着莫大的作用。从少儿阅读的广度、深度入手,探讨了图书馆在少儿阅读中的作用,阐述了少儿阅读的现状及影响少儿阅读水平的因素,提出了若干针对性措施。

Reading plays a prominent role in children＇s growth. It is a general requirement for improving children＇s quality that the middle and primary schools should turn to the development track of comprehensively improving national quality from the exam-oriented education explicitly stated in the Outline of Chinese Education Reformation and Development. Children＇ s quality is considered as the basis and prerequisite for improving the national quality, in which the books and libraries, the carriers of the books, play the great roles. Starting from children＇ s reading breadth and depth, this paper probes into the function of the library in children＇ s reading, expounds the present situation of children＇ s reading and some factors influencing children＇ s reading level, and puts forward some corresponding measures.
