Abstract： Taking the residential design for Tianlu Complex in Changsha as the example, the paper indicates the structural design for the special- shaped column, mainly explores the reasons, the detailing requirements, the used materials, and internal force analysis of the special-shaped col- umn structure, and points out many advantages of the special-shaped column framework structure, so it has better development in future.
