Abstract： Point out in Chongqing urban area the situation analysis and research of surface water resources has great practical significance to plan- ning the urban economic development. Based on the scientific analysis and prediction of water resources, the conclusion is that the carrying ca- pacity of water resources is surplus for the social, economic and population of development in 2014. The surface water resources can meet the de- mand of water resources in main area. And the available potential of water resources is great which can be developed.
