AMP激活的蛋白激酶(AMPK)是通过感受细胞能量状态来维持细胞ATP生成和消耗的平衡,即维持能量稳态的蛋白激酶。其主要被细胞内上升的AMP所激活。近年来,对AMPK调节和功能的研究表明,AMPK不仅起到了胞内能量感受器和调节器的作用,还是一个普遍的压力感受器,在各种压力挑战中,其通过AMP依赖和非依赖的方式对维持胞内稳态起到了重要作用。该文将介绍AMPK作为压力感受器和调节器的功能,并重点分析其在心血管疾病中的潜在治疗作用。
AMPK is one of the key players in maintaining the balance of intracellular ATP generation and consumption through sensing the energy status. It is the protein kinasc that maintains energy homeostasis. AMPK is activated by the rising level of intraeellnlar AMP. In recent years, intensive investigations on the regulation and the function of AMPK indicates that AMPK not only functions as an intracellular energy sensor and regulator,but is also a general stress sensor important in maintaining intraeellular homoeostasis during many kinds of stress challenges, through either AMP-dependent way or AMP-independent way. Here is to make a review of AMPK functions as energy sensor and regulator,focusing on its potential role in treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
