林砺儒是中国杰出的革命教育家,学者们对他的教育思想进行了多方面的研究,主要从其生平、师范教育思想、"全人格"教育思想、国民教育思想、教育哲学思想、教育思想当代价值等方面进行了探讨,取得了比较多的研究成果。为了进一步深化林砺儒教育思想的研究,为当今教育提供指导和借鉴,还应该加强整体性研究、连续性研究和对比性研究,对"空白块"进行填补,为林砺儒教育思想的研究提供更好的学术环境。

Lin Tim is one of the most prominent revolutionary educators in our country.A lot of scholars have carried on various research of his educational philosophy, which includes his life and thoughts of normal educafion,＂personality＂ education,national education and educa- tional philosophy and the contemporary value of educational thoughts and have made a lot of achievements. In order ta deepen the research of his educational thoughts and provide guidance and reference for today＇s education, we should strengthen the integrity research,continuous re- search and comparative research and flu the ＂blank area＂ so as to create a better academic environment for his educational thoughts research.
