摘要
各个民族由于自身生存与发展的需要,都曾在历史上创造过符合本民族实际利益的爱国主义教育传统。这些传统不仅对其本民族发挥过积极的作用,而且对我们丰富当代的爱国主义教育理论,亦有借鉴意义。正是从这一认识出发,作者把探索的视域转向新加坡,并以新加坡爱国主义教育的历史经验为题,重点探讨了爱国主义教育的内容、方法及其可供借鉴的方面。作者认为,新加坡在爱国主义教育方面,一是重视和弘扬为新加坡人所称道的"新加坡精神"教育;二是重视对新加坡公民的责任感教育;三是重视新加坡人的忧患意识教育。
Because of the need for national survival and develop-ment, each nation has historically created a tradition of patriotic education in line with the real interests of the nation. These tradi-tions have not only played a positive role in these nations, but al-so been of referential significance to the enrichment of theories for contemporary patriotic education. Starting from this understand-ing, the authors steered the sight of exploration to Singapore, and with the historical experience of Singaporean patriotic education as the theme, focused on the contents, methods and available as-pects of Singaporean patriotic education. The authors believe that, in patriotic education, Singapore emphasizes and promotes the"Singaporean Spirit"called by Singaporeans, attaches impor-tance to the responsibility education of Singaporeans, and pays attention to the education of hardship consciousness.
