In recent years the theory of second language incidental vocabulary acquisition received extensive attention of scholars all around the world. This article introduces the meaning of incidental vocabulary acquisition and related theoretical background; At the same time, briefly expounds the attention to the problems in the research of incidental vocabulary acquisition, use theory as the foundation to guide teaching practice. Second language vocabulary teaching should make efforts to create a vivid and real learning environment, stimulate students＇ interest in learning.
