Dispersion Characteristics of Few-Mode Large-Mode-Area Fiber

摘要 研究了少模大模场光纤的色散特性。采用有限元法分别分析了LP01模和LP11模的色散曲线与光纤结构参数的关系,并比较了大模场光纤中这两种模式的色散特性。结果表明,LP01模无法实现色散平坦传输,而LP11模能够实现色散平坦传输,且具有大模场和低弯曲损耗传输特性。 The dispersion characteristics of few-mode large-mode-area fiber are studied. Relationship between the dispersion characteristics and structure parameters of the fiber is investigated by using the finite-element method. The dispersion characteristics of the LP01 and LP11 modes of large-mode-area fiber are compared. The results show that flattened dispersion can be achieved in the LP11 mode, whereas the LP01 mode can′t realize the dispersion-flattened transmission. Numerical investigations demonstrate that the LP11 mode has low-bending-loss transmission characteristics in the large-mode-area optical fiber.
