坚持和发展中国特色社会主义是贯穿党的十八大报告的一条主线。报告紧紧围绕坚持和发展中国特色社会主义提出了一系列新思想、新观点、新论断、新要求,不仅进一步丰富和发展了中国特色社会主义理论体系,而且为在新的历史条件下如何坚持和发展中国特色社会主义、夺取中国特色社会主义新胜利指明了方向,是中国共产党坚持和发展中国特色社会主义的政治宣言和行动纲领。坚持和发展中国特色社会主义,最根本的是要坚持和发展中国特色社会主义道路、理论体系和制度;坚持和发展中国特色社会主义,必须牢牢把握建设中国特色社会主义的总依据、总布局、总任务;坚持和发展中国特色社会主义,必须牢牢把握夺取中国特色社会主义新胜利的"八项基本要求"。

Stick to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics is one of the main themes in the report of the Eighteenth Congress of the CPC. The report puts forward a series of new ideas, new conclusions and new requirements around sticking to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. It also points out the direction for sticking to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and for seeking the new victory of Chinese-characteristic socialism. It is the political declaration and guiding principle for the CPC to stick to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics.
