Research on the Instrument Designing Culture in the Pre-Qin Period

先秦时期的艺术设计思想,是建立在诸多器具的使用功能之上。设计意识的形成,是富民强国的政治经济政策的结果。设计文化的形成,是许多杰出的思想家和设计家的设计观念的论述,在器物设计和使用中,其设计思想得以充分地阐述,构成了设计文化的精彩篇章。

The artistical y designing concepts of the Pre-Qin period in China were based on the pragmatic functions of various instruments. The implementation of the political and economic policy of ‘prosperous people and a powerful nation’ resulted in the formation of designing awareness, while the debate on dif erent designing concepts of many outstanding thinkers and designers promoted the accumulation of designing culture. The designing concepts were maximized in the design and use of the instruments, which contributed to the magniifcence of the designing culture.
