Objective In-depth study of percutaneous vertebroplasty in vertebral compression fractures in the elderly diagnosis and treatment. Methods Continuous collected from March 2012-June 2013 in the hospital during percutaneous vertebroplasty 46 cases of vertebral compression fractures. In which a total of 56 vertebrae, while clinical observation and imaging studies. Results After percutaneous vertebroplasty, 46 cases of vertebral compression fractures in patients with pain are reduced, and even some have disappeared. Within a week after the surgery patients were able to get out of bed. After a six-month follow-up of six months, of which 43 cases of patients with pain, and no complications in percutaneous vertebroplasty for vertebral elapsed after the X-ray inspection of tile bone cement, were found in tile vertebral body the bone cement evenly distributed, and no leakage phenomenon. Conclusion Percutaneous vertebroplasty can be effective for patients with vertebral compression fractures reduce pain and further stabilize the vertebral body and reduce associated complications. Percutaneous vertebroplasty therefore able to effectively secure the treatment of senile vertebral compression fractures, and has important clinical value.
