American Public Library Crisis Plan and Its Implications for Chinese Libraries

在对危机预案的概念和美国公共图书馆危机预案制定现状进行简要介绍的基础上,对国会图书馆、丹佛公共图书馆、印第安纳波利斯公共图书馆的危机预案进行分析,提出值得我国公共图书馆借鉴之处,包括保证预案的体系完整与较强的可操作性、实现明确的人事分工和顺畅的沟通、重视灾后恢复和因果分析、重视预案的与时俱进、重视危机公关等方面。

Based on the introduction of the concept of crisis plan and current status of American public library crisis plan, this article analyzes some library crisis plans such as Library of Congress, Denver Public Library and Indianapolis Public Library, and summarizes several good points that the Chinese public libraries could learn from, which includes the sufficiency and excellent operability of the plan implementation, the clear allocation of human resource and good communication channel, attaching importance on disaster recovery and causal analysis, emphasizing the update of the plan and the development of public relationships.
