介绍了ＷＡＰ的背景、整体架构、体系协议的各层组成、移动数据业务及最新发展，并举例说明；对我国 ＷＡＰ业务发展及 ＷＡＰ网站建设提出了建议。
In this paper, it introduces the background, overall architecture, components of system protocol, mobile data service and the newest development of WAP, presents proposals on developing WAP service and constructing WAP web site in China.
