This paper mainly introduces the design, operational principle, signal processing, measurement precision of volumetric type auto selected range fuel consumption meter, applied hardware logic design and the function of realizing auto selected range (realizing direct range reading and decimal point floating processing with EPROM). It also introduces the method of using CD4063 data comparator and obtaining 100Hz time base signal from watch crystal oscillating 32768Hz through reducing pulses in detail.
