Objective:To study the 6-minute walk test exercise intensity , and to explore its clinical value .Methods:16 volunteers re-ceived six-minute walk test (6MWT), getting each subject's 6-minute walk distance (D), acting (W) and VO2-6MWT.Subse-quently, subjects received cardiopulmonary exercise test ( CPET ) according to the Bruce protocol to detect peak oxygen uptake (VO2peak) and anaerobic threshold (AT).The gas exchange parameters, such as VO2-6MWT, VO2-peak and AT, were detected by portable K4b2 real-time gas analyzer during 6MWT and CPET.Results:1.The average oxygen uptake of 16 subjects rose from 8.15ml at the test beginning to 28.42ml at the end of test during the 6MWT.The average oxygen uptake rose faster during the first minute , and came into platform during the last five minutes .2.Positive linear correlation was found between the 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) and VO2-6MWT.There was no significant difference between VO 2-6MWT and AT from CPET (p〉0.05).Conclusion:6-minute walk-ing test shouls be an exercise test at level of anaerobic threshold for healthy subjects .6-minute walking test could reflect both submaximal exercise capacity and maximal exercise capacity .
